And Beyond AW 10/11: Smoke

Last night of magic: where were you?

On Friday the 29th of January, And Beyond presents its latest AW 10/11 Collection, Smoke. For this presentation, Het Machinegebouw at the AIFW district is completely devoted to magic. The collection is displayed in a dynamic installation, transporting the viewer into a magical world. The clothes are shown on mannequins that literally go up in smoke, conjuring up an alienating and intense atmosphere. The installation was designed in collaboration with the design agency HeynenRubel.

Our aim and desire is to conquer a place in the fashion world, without losing our magic and thereby go up in smoke.-And Beyond

The collection has magic as a theme and source of inspiration. Fabric designs are an essential part of their signature. Iconic prints such as tiger and floral prints visually go up in smoke. Smooth materials such as silks, velvet and crepe muslin move freely around the body, creating a sophisticated look, yet one with an edgy twist.
